Scripting
Even though scripting with the user interface, debugger and execution management is actually provided by the application (i.e., WinGuard), we want to mention it here as an AOP-powered feature.
This is because it is entirely based on the API. In principle, the internal script can be used to perform the same tasks as external JavaScript applications, and the required developer skills are more or less the same.
Above all, the API description in this document serves also as the essential reference for script developers.
For a script, the developer doesn’t have to worry about the details of AOP connection, authorization, and so on; the application handles all of this automatically in the background.
But in principle, each script represents its own instance of an AOP extension at runtime and executes the commands via the API.
AOP provides each script for that purpose with an optimized connection to the local API, thereby ensuring highly efficient script execution.
For more details on scripting, please refer to the application manual.
