Camera.PTZStatus

Description

Marks an Object as a PTZ camera having the pan_angle, tilt_angle and zoom_value States. These States allow visualizing the current physical orientation of a PTZ camera in WinGuard.

States

pan_angle (double)

The pan angle is the horizontal orientation of the camera, parallel to the ground.

The value range of this state is [0, 360), the unit is degrees. Value 0 is the neutral orientation of the camera, with values increasing in clockwise direction: value 90 points to the right of the neutral orientation, 180 in the opposite direction, 270 to the left.

In WinGuard, pan_angle is used to visualize the angle of the field of view of the camera object on a GIS-enabled graphic. The displayed angle is relative to the configured north angle of the graphic and the configured north angle of the Datapoint. The configured north angle of the camera Datapoint corresponds to value 0 of pan_angle.

tilt_angle (double)

The tilt angle is the vertical orientation of the camera.

The value range of this state is [0, 90], the unit is degrees. Value 0 is the neutral angle of the camera when the camera is oriented parallel to the ground. The value 90 indicates that the camera is looking downwards, perpendicular to the ground.

zoom_value (double)

The zoom value describes the current zoom state of the camera.

The value range of this state is [1, inf). The value 1 is a fully zoomed out image, value 2 is a 2x zoom, and so forth.

In WinGuard, zoom_value is used to scale the length of the cone used to visualize the field of view of the camera object on a GIS-enabled graphic.
