Function: devicetype.Create

Creates the DeviceType in the system and returns the id of the DeviceType. The DeviceType must not have an id. If an id is set, the creation is rejected and an empty id is returned.

Parameters

object : `DeviceType`

The DeviceType to create.

Result : `guid`

Id of the newly created DeviceType.

Remarks

This method requires API write access.

Validation

Id must not be set
Code must be a non-empty, unique string consisting of alphanumerical characters. Additional allowed characters: _, -, /, :, #
Name must not exceed 50 characters
Order must be a non-empty, unique, valid sorting string, i.e. consist of all upper-case letters and not end with ‘A’
